The town of Parksville is an interesting two hour drive up island from Victoria,

or a short drive north from the Naniamo BC Ferry location on Vancouver Island.

My favourite resort that I had the pleasure of staying at numerous times is

Tigh-na-Mara Resort and Grotto Spa.

The food is outstanding, the facilities second to none, the Grotta Spa?

Not only are the oceanside resorts a drawing card for this area, the Coombs Market, Cathedral Grove

Englishman Falls, and roadside sights all make this adventure a most memorable one!

I have purposely not included too many photos in this section, a few to get your started of course, but this is one

area of the island that truly does require a personal visit to observe, experience and feel island life at its finest.

From Parksville you can travel to the far west coast of the island to Long Beach, Ucluelet and Tofino.
