A mid afternoon visit to Butchart Gardens brought this photographer incredible peace and contentment.
Being early spring, the tourist season has yet to get into full swing. It felt as though I had the place to myself
even though a few other keen photographers were
there taking advantage of the solitude. Considering thousands of people
stroll through the Gardens on any given day in the summer, this experience was truly awe inspiring!
The flowers, just starting to bloom and green landscape were the main highlights as I walked the paths.
One of the most favourite places I enjoy being in is the Japanese Gardens.
Spending nearly 2 hrs in this area alone was just what the spirit needed!
Cascading waterfalls, beautiful bridges, pathways and stones took my breath away as I
soaked up the CHI in this corner of the Gardens. It must have been quite amusing for the
Asian tour group that came through and found me lying in the pathways and dirt,
looking for that "perfect shot".
During the early months of the year, the Spring Prelude is a highlight of any visit. What
an amazing display of foliage and flowers! Thank you Butchart Gardens. A great adventure
was enjoyed and will be treasured in photos..
